Article 4.2 — How Does Playlist Pitching Work?

Modified on Fri, 8 May at 3:25 PM

Playlist placements are one of the most powerful ways to grow streams and reach new listeners. BeChorus pitches your music to both editorial playlists (curated by platforms like Spotify) and independent playlists (curated by popular playlist channels).

How the process works:

Step 1 — Submit your release early Playlist pitching requires your music to be submitted at least 4 to 6 weeks before your release date. This is non-negotiable for editorial consideration.

Step 2 — BeChorus prepares your pitch Our team creates a professional pitch that includes:

  • Track description and mood
  • Genre and subgenre tags
  • Target audience profile
  • Artist background and story

Step 3 — We submit to curators Your music is pitched to relevant editorial and independent playlist curators based on genre, mood, and audience fit.

Step 4 — Curators review and decide Playlist placement is at the curator's discretion. BeChorus cannot guarantee placements but maximizes your chances with targeted, high-quality pitches.

Step 5 — You are notified of placements If your track is added to a playlist, you will see it reflected in your streaming analytics and we will notify you directly.

Tip: The earlier you submit your release, the better your chances. Tracks submitted last minute cannot be considered for editorial playlists.
