Article 2.7 — What is ISRC and UPC? Does BeChorus Provide Them?

Modified on Fri, 8 May at 3:20 PM

ISRC (International Standard Recording Code) A unique code assigned to each individual track. It is used by platforms and collection societies to track streams and royalties for a specific recording.

UPC (Universal Product Code) A unique barcode assigned to a full release (single, EP, or album). It identifies your release as a product across all digital stores.

Does BeChorus provide these?

Yes. BeChorus automatically assigns both ISRC codes (per track) and a UPC code (per release) to every submission at no extra cost.

If you already have your own ISRC or UPC codes from a previous release, you can enter them manually during submission to maintain consistency across platforms.
